04 Jun Why do we need to improve Ventilation in our home
Ventilation is so important within our homes. Whether you are building a new home or improving your current home it’s very clear that insulation should be on the top of your list but maybe less less obvious is the need for good ventilation. In poorly insulated homes, purpose-built vents in the windows & walls provide unregulated ventilation. There is a lack of control over how much air is allowed in and out of the house so this makes these vents unsuitable for low energy homes. For most new build or a property that has recently had an energy upgrade, it’s more than likely you’ll need to rely on a mechanical system.
Poor indoor air quality can be associated with a range of undesirable health effects, allergic and asthma symptoms, , chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer, cardiovascular disease and airborne respiratory infections.
There are so many ventilation systems on the market now that it can be minefield for home owner. Talk to us about what is the best ventilation system for your home.
