External wall insulation involves fixing rigid insulation boards directly to the outside of your home's walls, then covering them with a weatherproof render. It's the most effective solution for solid-wall homes (those without a cavity) where internal or cavity options are not viable. EWI can improve a home's BER rating by two or three grades, dramatically reduce heating bills, eliminate cold bridging, and give your property a completely refreshed exterior finish.

Survey & Design
We carry out a full survey of your external walls and discuss finish options — render colour, texture, and any architectural detailing around windows and doors.

Wall Preparation
We fix any existing cracks, replace damaged render, and ensure the wall surface is sound and ready to receive the insulation system.

Board Installation
High-performance EPS or mineral wool boards are mechanically fixed and adhesive-bonded to the external walls, creating a continuous thermal envelope.

Render & Finish
A reinforced base coat, mesh layer, and decorative top coat render are applied, giving your home a beautiful, weatherproof finish that will last decades.

External wall insulation is applied to the outside, so interior room sizes are unaffected. You lose a few centimetres on window reveals and sills, which we accommodate with extended sills and reveals as part of the installation.
